An organized chaos of
makeup, hairspray,
glitter, red lipstick,
costumes, and nervous
women talking
simultaneously.

Clusters form, bonds
are made, jokes
are exchanged,
stories swapped,
advice given, and
friends reaffirmed.

Streamers, mirrors,
hangers, garment
bags, makeup kits,
the rare chair,
the secret food
and drinks.

All backstage
before the
stage manager
calls

"PLACES!!"
