Trickster Love
Pleasantly alone,
I walked a narrow path
Where life led me
From day to day
Without event
Until a small fork I did spy
And made haste
To follow it.
Along the tumbled
And overgrown narrow I trod
Whence I saw the trickster Love
And Love bade me follow
So round and round
Love gave me chase
Before veering off
And leaving me stranded in unknown.
Looking round
I did not recognize
The harsh terrain around me
And everywhere there were cliffs
And pitfalls. And I cursed
the joker Love
For transforming me
Into a naive fool.
But eventually
I found life's path
And again I followed
The narrow road
Until Love disguised
Again calls
And blindly I chase
And Loose my way again.
