Distorted
You see all
But you don't know
What it is
You're looking at.
You see lines
And shapes, and colors
But you don't see
The image they form.
You see inside
And you see darkness
But you can't tell
What it means.
You see a smile
But you take it
For face value
And don't see love.
You view the world
As your oyster
Can't see the miracle, just
Keep looking for the pearl.
Open your eyes
Your mind
Your heart,
Then maybe things
Won't be so
Distorted.
